| bikefriendly city they even do biketours in barcelona http://biketoursbarcelona.com/ |
Not very interesting way, a lot of wind, many chemical plants, polluted disgusting air, and white poisonous waters around the road...EW!! and so many hills....jesus!! Do they never end?! And again, wind, the friendly mother nature trying to makes this "more fun"(is it sarcasm guess by yourself?!) But besides that people around smile, met some more bike travellers in the early morning.
And I was happy I will sleep in a bed, but somewhere half way, Spanish decided to start some road renovations(that's definitely sarcasm, whenever they touch stuff, it goes bad, trust me)and they made no way around but the highway,so I am taking the highway, I don't care if trucks beep at me, or police stops me(I currently don't have a residence, and they can basically write me no valid ticket)I must say, there is something magical about the highway,I go from 15km/h to 30,maybe it's the stress, wind from other cars, better asphalt,or placebo, who knows?
At around 16:30 I arrived at the big city of Barcelona, after around 20 km of lights, stops, and crossings...agh!!!but I was still faster that taxis, buses, trains and cars. Its so nice to see a Spanish city full of bikes, motorbikes, and people running.I met up with my friend Jordi(hope he is reading this) on the Plaza de España(after Franco's nationalism, there is one in almost every town/city) and found out I have to fit my not so small bike into the rustic 1m2 elevator, which made scary sounds.....but years of playing Tetris payed off.
I didn't sleep much, I stayed up late talking, and nights at Barcelona don't drop under 30°C!!! So that was deadly warm....
But 6-7 hours in bed don't compare to 9 on the ground(and btw my worst case scenario was sleeping at the airport)I have a lot left till France but ugh!!! I wanna get there already
